Privacy policy

This policy covers https://aubenefitscalc.com. Estimating Centrelink payments means describing your family, your earnings, your rent and your savings, which is exactly the information that should not travel. The calculators were written to run entirely in your browser. The publisher is established in France, so the EU General Data Protection Regulation applies to everything the site does; visitors in Australia also keep the protections of the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, including the right to know how to contact us.

This site sets no cookie, and the calculators store nothing on your device.

2. What never leaves your browser

Relationship status, children's ages, income, rent, assets, savings and payment type are processed by code running on your own device and are never sent to us, to Services Australia or to anyone else. The "copy share link" button writes your answers into the page address so you can send a calculation to a financial counsellor or a relative; anyone who receives that link can read them.

3. What is processed

Hosting logs

Like every web host, GitHub records the IP address, time, requested page and browser type of each request to keep the service secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Retention follows GitHub's policy.

Anonymous stability monitoring, without cookies

To find broken pages, the site loads Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin) in cookie-free mode: errors, load times, dead clicks and scrolling are measured per page view, without cookies and without linking visits, and page content and everything typed are masked. Microsoft receives the technical data of the request, including the IP address. Legal basis: legitimate interest in a working site (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object by blocking clarity.ms or by writing to us.

Emails

If you write to us, we keep your address and message to reply, and delete them three years after the last exchange. Please do not send your Customer Reference Number, tax file number or copies of letters: the amount in question and your situation are enough.

4. No sale, no profiling

We do not sell or rent personal information, do not use it for advertising and do not build profiles.

5. Recipients and transfers

The host, GitHub, Inc., is in the United States; request data may be processed there under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

6. Your rights

You may ask for access, correction or deletion, restrict or object to processing, by writing to contact@aubenefitscalc.com; we answer within one month. You may complain to the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés (CNIL) (https://www.cnil.fr) or, in Australia, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

7. Children

The site is meant for adults managing a household budget and collects nothing from children.
